Contemporary Nerikomi Porcelain Objects

Alice Adler is a Sydney-based ceramic artist creating hand-built porcelain works using an intensive nerikomi process in which coloured clay bodies are layered, cut, and reconstructed into singular patterned forms.

Working between sculpture, object, and functional form, her practice explores material pattern, tactility, and the instability inherent in porcelain making.
